If you were unable to attend the previous date, this is the last chance for Nippers to complete their Proficiency swims in a heated pool!
All U8-U14 Nippers must complete a Proficiency Swim to participate in Sunday Nippers water activities and training.
Preliminary Evaluations: U8 – 25m swim (any stroke) + 1 min survival float U9 – 25m swim (any stroke) + 1 min survival float U10 – 25m swim (freestyle) + 1.5 min survival float U11 – 50m swim (freestyle) + 2 min survival float U12 – 100m swim (freestyle) + 2 min survival float U13 – 150m swim (freestyle) + 3 min survival float U14 – 200m swim (freestyle) in 5 mins
For any Nippers who wish to compete at carnivals we recommend they attempt the Competition Pool Proficiency swim of 200m. This is to be completed in 6 mins for Under 9s and in 5 mins for the older age groups. This is in addition to the Ocean Swim which is a prerequisite to compete at carnivals. These will be conducted during Nippers at North Steyne. Date TBC.
All Nippers will be required to pay pool entrance fee. Please find your Age Manager to mark off your attendance and record your swim. On completion you are free to go or stay for a leisure swim.
U6s & U7s are required to a complete a simple proficiency in swallow water which will be conducted at North Steyne during the Nipper season.
